To All:
This is to inform you that finally the Philippines has a block in the Quilt of Belonging
which is one of the projects of the philippines Folk Art Society of Quebec. The group
had approached lot of organizations in Canada and it is only the society who willingly
accept the challenge to create a block to represent the Philippines. I hope that you will be
proud as I am that the Philippines is represented in this project.
     You can check: http://wwwinvitation.project.ca/gallery.htm
Click on Asia to see the block
Your comments on this project is most welcome.
      Sincerely,
      Annie Miaral

P.S. The Official openning of the exhibition is on April 1, 2005 at the Grand Hall of the
                  Museum of Civilisation.

The Philippine Folk Art Society of Quebec is holding Canada's First Terno Ball; Renaissance of
the Philippine Butterfly on Saturday, 28 may 2005 at Montreal Hilton Bonaventure.
The purpose of this project is to poster cultural diversity and support the charitable endeavours of
the Cardinal Leger Foundation.  The KAIBIGAN Vocal Ensemble will be there to entertain our guests
that evening. The proceeds will go to this group of streetchildren in Manila.
To promote the event, Joselito and Riza had prepared a poster plus the Cardinal Leger Foundation
gave me the poster featuring the choir. I was hoping that it can be featured in our website for some
people who will be interested to check the site.If it is OK with you, I will forward the poster of Kaibigan
and Riza can send the other one.

I also want to invite you and Ofie to attend the Terno Ball which not only unique but also a very worthy
cause. Maybe , you can also pass the word to some of your friends.

Thanks and look forward to a positive reply from you

  Best regards,
  Annie
