NATURE OF THE SOCIETY
The Philippine Folk Art Society of Quebec, is a non profit
organization incorporated under Part Three of the Quebec
  Companies Act.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE
To preserve the Filipino cultural heritage and to promote appreciation
and understanding of Filipino values, traditions, history and culture.

        KALINANGAN DANCE TROUPE
                HISTORY AND OBJECTIVES
( A project of the Philippine Folk Art Society of Quebec)
The Kalinangan Dance Troupe is a group of young Filipino Canadian Dedicated to
the preservation of Philippine culture and traditions through music, song and dance.
The group was formed in May 1996 through the initiative of Alvin Veloso,who has been the president of the Philippine Folk Art Society of Quebec since 1992,and was formally introduced to the community during the Philippine Centennial Year
celebration with their debut performance of "Pilipino Ako" and "Bayan Ko"
